In 2009 Ghanaian filmmaker Mantse Aryee-quaye cameup with a documentary. And the tittle of the documentary is the Rhythm Rising. Also, the film is about the political history of hiplife movement in Ghana. And also, the hip-hop music amidst various political climates in the nation.
In this film, Aryee-quaye also examines many famous Ghanaian artists, including Kwaw Kese, Obrafour, and Kwaku Tutu through their experiences in the hiplife or hip-hop movement. The film explores the culture of hiplife against the backdrop of Ghana’s political environment
